Our client contacted us after 2 years of searching for a holiday home in Cape Town. His frustration at making very little progress, because he was not local, and also the low level of service he received, prompted him to contact Space to help with this ultra important quest.
His brief was to find a 2-3 bedroom apartment which was open plan and modern in feel and design. He was keen to be within close proximity to local amenities including shops and cafes, ideally in the City Bowl. Security was important, as it is with all our clients, and he also needed to be confident he can leave the property empty most of the year as he will only use it 3-4 times in any twelve month period. Finally, he wanted great city and mountain views.
At that time, the market was very difficult with few great properties coming on the market, so it took us 10 weeks to pull together a short list of just 3 exceptional homes.
It was clear immediately which was the preferred choice. A stunning Penthouse in a well known, centrally located 5 star hotel in the very centre of the "Mother City".
These apartments rarely come onto the market and we used our extensive contacts and insider knowledge to track down the owner of the apartment which was not actively on the market at the time. After some widespread due diligence we knew it would be a great option to show our client and included it on the short list.

Space negotiated a million rand off the asking price, which, in such a tough market, where demand exceeds supply, was a fantastic result for our client.
